Trainings

To enable you to use our products optimally, we offer our customers regular training courses. Currently, the trainings take place online via teams. The trainings are available for different levels, from end user to application manager to system manager. You can find the dates below.

Registrations are considered in the order in which they are received. If the training is already fully booked, you will be notified immediately and informed about the next possible date. If possible, please register at least two weeks before the start of the training. We make every effort to accommodate registrations at short notice, but cannot guarantee this. To be on the safe side, please allow at least three business days prior to the training to test access to our training systems. If a participant's registration is withdrawn, please notify us in writing at least 2 weeks in advance. In case of later cancellation or no-show, the full training fee will be charged. GUS LAB reserves the right to cancel the course due to insufficient number of participants at least one week before the start of the training.

There is also the possibility to hold training courses at your site, also specifically tailored to your processes, in German or in English. Contact us, we are looking forward to it!

LABS/Q training dates

The focus of this training is to show the individual modules of LABS/Q® - especially master data - and their interrelationships, so that the necessary procedure for starting the LABS/Q® application is learned. The mode of operation and the operating options are taught and trained by means of practical examples. General knowledge of the laboratory workflow in production-accompanying quality control (in analytical laboratories) is assumed.
DTool Mask and Data Model Design (from 4.x) The focus of this training is to learn how to use the object-oriented "DTool" to support detailed planning as well as continuous mask maintenance and extension of the data structure of the LABS/Q® application. The working techniques and operating possibilities of this Windows-based program will be taught and trained by means of practical examples. In the course of the training, adjustments of the own masks can be made in an own mask group with the help of the DTool. Detailed knowledge of the LABS/Q® structure (logical relationships and data structure) is assumed.
The aim of this training course is to enable the user to create certificates using LABS/Q via the program's own certificate management. Particular attention is paid to the creation of master data, which enables the certificates to be created for the respective customer after an automatic suitability check. Basic knowledge of LABS/Q is a prerequisite for the training.
The focus of this training is the coupling of LABS/Q® to other systems with the table-based communication interface COM-LABS, the document-based XML interface and the also table-based device interface WORKLIST. In addition to a detailed presentation, practical exercises await the participant.
In this training especially the possibilities and "on-board" tools of LABS/Q® to support the special tasks of the environmental protection sector are presented. From the planning of simple regular wastewater tests to the planning of projects for the mapping of recurring test packages of several dischargers with changing test scope, the supporting modules/functionalities are shown.
This training is intended to show the handling and the possibilities of the test equipment management integrated in LABS/Q®. Working techniques, prerequisites (master data) and operating options will be taught and trained by means of practical examples and exercises.
The focus of this training is the operation of the QM-IDI interface of SAP R/3 by LABS/Q®. The mechanisms and configuration options are presented in detail. The participants train to fulfill requirements by specific configuration. The use of the SAP interface to operate BAPIs available in SAP and customer specific RFCs are also subject of this training.
This course provides you with an overview of the available reporting tools and how to control reports (distribution lists, regular reports, etc.). The focus is on creating and/or integrating reports in LABS/Q® and accessing the required data (masks, tables, fields). In practical exercises, you will configure reports in LABS/Q and/or Jaspersoft® Studio. You should have basic knowledge of LABS/Q as well as basic knowledge of HTML and SQL in particular. The training is offered for the current LABS/Q® version. For older versions, customer-specific training can be offered on request.

VALIDAT training dates

In this training you will get an introduction to the necessary mathematics and statistics. It is about mean, standard deviation, CV, distributions, statistical tests, outliers, trend, normal distribution, homogeneity, etc., regression, fits, confidence intervals and graphs. In the topic of calculation and rounding accuracy, the limitations of calculation methods are discussed. You will learn special calculations on z-scores, Straggler tests, Pure Error and Lack of Fit, f1 and f2 tests.
In this training you will learn more about the deployment planning and installation of your VALIDAT system. Which modules and interfaces are there? Further points are the installation and database setup, qualification (IQ, OQ, PQ), configuration and configuration files, general user-specific settings, default validations and templates and rolling out settings. On the topic of maintenance and support, you will learn important regular tasks (logs, backups), troubleshooting, how to optimize program performance and tuning, and how to use documentation sources. After that, installation examples are shown from local, server, terminal server and Citrix, the operation in virtualized environments and the interfaces (to CDS and LIMS).
The focus of this training is the introduction of the Dissolution module. Learn project planning, creating dissolution projects, planning details, planning and data import and USP acceptances. In Reports and Graphics, learn how to create dissolution reports, configure the report, create templates, and learn about dissolution graphics capabilities. In the Compare module, you will create release comparisons with the comparison database, perform f1 and f2 calculations, and demonstrate an import of runs from legacy systems.
This training gives an introduction to VALIDAT, gives an overview of the program, shows you the security according to 21 CFR Part 11. You will learn different concepts and first steps from planning to reporting. You will also learn the functions of VALIDAT, program options and configuration, the steps from planning to data entry and reporting and how to set up interfaces to CDS and LIMS. Another point is reporting and working with text variables, result variables, actptance limits and details of report design. Validations are carried out and templates are presented on the basis of examples.
In this training you will go deeper into the detailed possibilities of reporting. Learn about the use of text variables and arrays, result variables, additional variables, acceptance limits, text modules, custom reports and user-defined formulas. Make your work easier via the use of templates and predefined layouts. Another point is report editing, e.g. the User Edited Report. Which export formats are available? Also in this training there are detailed practical examples.
