LIMS access from anywhere

Q/LES expands the LIMS with mobile functions and brings laboratory processes to where they take place: to the workplace in the laboratory, in the field, or at external locations. Employees record samples, measurements, and work steps directly on their smartphones or tablets, without having to use paper lists or manual transfers. SOPs, workflows, and test reports are available digitally, and all data flows back to the central system securely and consistently — both online and offline. This makes the entire laboratory process faster, more transparent, and less prone to errors.

Q/LES is the right choice if your laboratory...

  • ...must map individual or highly complex workflows.
  • ...works in regulated environments (e.g. ISO, GLP, regulatory requirements).
  • ...needs secure, traceable data - including an audit trail.
  • ...would like to integrate different locations, devices and interfaces centrally.
  • ...is looking for a LIMS that grows with them - both technically and organizationally.

core functions

Mobile sample & data collection

Record samples, measurements, and steps directly on the device—no paper lists required.

Barcode & QR scanning

Identify samples and materials accurately with the integrated scan function.

Digital SOPs & Workflows

Access instructions, inspection plans, and work steps at any time—digitally, up-to-date, and versioned.

Work offline & sync

Capture data even without a connection; Q/LES automatically synchronizes as soon as a network is available.

Direct LIMS integration

All information flows seamlessly back into the central system, where it is available in real time.

Intuitive, streamlined user interface

Minimizes training effort and enables productive work from day one.

Web portal for internal and external stakeholders

Deliver results, reports, or certificates securely and without installation via the browser.

usage scenarios

Sampling in the field and outside the laboratory

Q/LES enables fully digital sampling—directly at remote locations, in the field, or during customer assignments. Employees record samples, parameters, photos, and location data directly on site, eliminating the need for subsequent transfers or additions. Even without a network connection, the process remains stable: all data is stored locally and automatically synchronized as soon as a connection is established. This reduces errors, speeds up the return of information to the laboratory, and ensures complete documentation.

Workflow-driven analyses at the laboratory workstation

In the laboratory, Q/LES supports employees with clearly structured, digital workflows. Step sequences, SOPs, test specifications, and checklists are always available in their latest versions. Work steps, measured values, interim results, and comments can be recorded directly on the device without having to switch between paper lists and the PC. This speeds up standardized routine processes, increases process reliability, and ensures that all relevant information appears immediately in the LIMS.

Material and equipment management directly at the process

With Q/LES, devices, chemicals, consumables, and batches can be clearly identified using barcodes or QR codes. Employees document usage directly in the workflow—for example, which device was used for an analysis, which batch was consumed, or whether a device is unavailable due to status messages. This improves traceability, prevents misallocations, and supports clean quality and maintenance management.

Mobile support for audit and QA processes

Auditors and QA teams can immediately record observations, deviations, images, and notes in the system using mobile devices. Checklists can be worked through step by step without having to transfer information manually later. Automatic assignment to samples, devices, or processes shortens processing time and ensures audit-proof documentation that can be tracked in the LIMS at any time.

Documentation in clean rooms or areas that are difficult to access

In clean rooms, GMP environments, or areas with restricted access, Q/LES offers comprehensive digital documentation—even where paper or stationary computers are unsuitable. Mobile devices enable employees to immediately record measurement results, test steps, or status changes without having to leave the area. This reduces interruptions, increases process quality, and saves valuable time in sensitive production and laboratory areas.

Why Q/LES?

Work faster

Mobile data collection shortens processes, reduces waiting times, and speeds up the return flow to the LIMS.

Fewer errors, less paper

Digital workflows, scans, and automatic assignments replace manual entries and prevent transcription errors.

Flexible anywhere

Whether in the laboratory, clean room, or field, Q/LES provides support wherever paper or stationary systems reach their limits.

Seamless integration

All data flows directly into the central LIMS—without duplicate maintenance, without media breaks, without additional interfaces.

Easy to use

The sleek, intuitive interface ensures that teams can be productive immediately without extensive training.

compatibility

Q/LES is designed as a web app and is based on the Angular framework. It is optimized for use in current browsers on tablets but also works on desktop devices. As a web app, no installation on end devices is necessary—updates are available centrally and can be used immediately by everyone. Q/LES also supports offline mode, so data can be captured even without a stable connection and synchronized automatically later.

Q/LES was developed as an extension of LABS/Q LIMS and requires a connection to a central LIMS.
