Contents of the study program
The dual Bachelor's degree course in Practical Computer Science familiarizes students comprehensively with the fundamentals of computer science, with the conception, design and use of IT systems. They acquire teamwork skills in problem analysis, competencies in project work and the ability to take business management conditions into account. One focus of the course is software technology.
In regular practical phases in the companies of the practice partners, students learn about specialist processes and the complex relationships between functionality, costs and certification. In addition, internships are offered which provide application-oriented experience of software development and administration using example systems. Graduates of the Practical Computer Science course are able to find methodically suitable solutions to any problem and implement them efficiently. As specialists and managers in the company, they are thus prepared for any operational situation and the latest developments on the market.
