Review of the LIMS Forum 2025 in Mainz - highlights, impressions and outlook

As GUS LAB GmbH, we once again attended the LIMS Forum 2025 at the Atrium Hotel Mainz this year together with our sister company iVention live - and it was an all-round successful event. From the initial contact to the inspiring discussions at the end of the event, we gained valuable insights and took away many new ideas.

From existing customers to competitors: network nuggets & demo highlights that are worth seeing

We were particularly impressed by the relevant contacts and collaborations: the LIMS Forum offered an ideal platform for exchanging ideas with specialist colleagues and initiating potential partnerships. The discussions were practical, transparent and characterized by a genuine interest in joint solutions.

The live demos of LABbase powered by iLES and LABS/Q with the Q/LES app were our highlights. They clearly showed how the laboratory workflow ecosystem is strengthened and what concrete benefits result from the integration of LIMS into existing workflows.

Diverse insights

The sessions covered a broad spectrum - from product updates and process optimization to data-driven decisions in the laboratory. The practice-oriented discussion rounds, in which specific use cases were presented, were particularly helpful.

The atmosphere on site was open, collegial and solution-oriented. We specifically initiated new partnerships, discussed interesting cooperation opportunities and made valuable contacts that will help us in the long term.

Our highlights at a glance

  • Live demos at the stand: The direct demonstration of functions and workflows helped to make complex topics tangible. We appreciate the direct exchange with experts on site.
  • Exchange formats: The discussions in smaller groups provided in-depth insights, individual questions were addressed directly and constructive solutions were developed.
  • Both at the level of the software solutions presented and interpersonally, all participants successfully demonstrated that data flow (results-oriented discussions and information exchange), process control (targeted questions and answers, sufficient information transfer while taking into account the interests of both sides) and compliance (mutual respect with a healthy pinch of humor) go hand in hand. 😃

The LIMS Forum 2025 has once again shown how important regional and international networks and practical dialog are for the further development of laboratory IT systems. We at GUS LAB GmbH are taking away numerous suggestions, expanding existing contacts and evaluating how we can tailor our products and services even more precisely to the needs of our customers.

We look forward to implementing the impetus gained in our projects and continuing to work closely with the LIMS community. Feel free to contact us - we are available for individual discussions!

...and a little Halloween extra for a good mood:

As a little treat at the end, we have included a mini clip with this feedback. Stay tuned - "scary" surprises await - fortunately, only in the clip! 🎃🧪

Thanks to all participants for the stimulating exchange, the friendly atmosphere and the many valuable impulses. Here's to many more successful LIMS Dialogs!
